Team GreenSense consists of a group of six teenagers. We are all currently employed by the government under the Mayors Youth Summer Employment Program. As a group we are learning about climate change in general and what the city of Cambridge is doing to stop and reverse it. Our main goal is to go to Area 4 and Frisole Youth Centers and see how energy efficient they are and make suggestions to them to improve their energy efficiency. The are in the middle of a renovation so it is the perfect time to go “green.” We are based out of the DPW or Department of Public Works and spend our weekdays Monday through friday 9am-1pm doing everything from listening to presentations on climate change to learning how to create blogs.
